Songs are often written for many different reasons: romance, desire, broken hearts, feeling good. Once in awhile, a song gets written just to let people know the writer is glad for people being in their lives. Dan + Shay's new song, "Glad You Exist" is that kind of song.
In their Instagram post about the song, they write:
This upbeat song sends a message about how important others are at a time when we have so little opportunity to actually see and be with others, and perhaps that's why it resonates so strongly.
I'm sure you'll find yourself thinking of the people this song applies to as you listen, just as I did.
